If you are the owner, you are liable to make sure this invoice gets paid. If you are not the owner but the responsible person that has authorised this work such as Real estate Agent or building manager, then you are also liable to ensure this account gets paid in full. If this is an insurance contents claim, and you would like us to send the invoice direct we will require policy and claim number upon job completion. If this is a body corporate claim, we will require strata plan number and contact details to body corporate so that we can send a request for them to lodge a claim with the building insurer on owner’s behalf. It is important to note that structural drying is claimable through the building insurance managed by the body corporate. The body corporate may not be liable for the structural drying costs depending on the cause so if the damages are not the responsibility of the body corporate, the owner must request from the body corporate to lodge a claim with building insurer on their behalf, otherwise the body corporate may simply advise that structural costs are not covered by them and close the file. We will send all paperwork to relevant insurance and body corporate on your behalf after works are completed, but this does not limit your liability to ensure all costs are paid in full. It is your responsibility to follow up relevant insurers and body corporate on a weekly basis to avoid delays. We recommend you find the name of one responsible representative and follow them up weekly. Your continued reminders to the relevant party will ensure the invoice gets paid on time.
