Water damage in a Sydney home, apartment or business? Contact Reztor to discuss the affected property, water extraction, moisture assessment and drying. Tell us your suburb and what has happened so we can confirm current availability and the next steps for your address.
Our team. No subcontractors. Reztor’s own team carries out our restoration work, with clear communication about the assessment, proposed work and progress.
Call 1800 739 867 — 24/7 enquiries or send property details and photos. For an urgent incident, call so we can discuss the situation directly. Arrival timing depends on your location, access and current demand.
What to tell us when you call
- Location and access: your suburb, property type, floor or unit number, and who can provide access.
- The water source: what you know about the leak or water entry, whether it is still occurring, and when you first noticed it.
- Affected areas: rooms, floor coverings, walls, ceilings and contents, including any water reported in adjacent units or shared spaces.
- Site restrictions: building-manager contacts, lift or loading access, parking restrictions, opening hours and any areas that cannot be entered safely.
You do not need to identify every damaged material before contacting us. Photos taken from a safe location can help explain what is visible; an assessment is needed to check moisture that cannot be seen.
Planning restoration around your Sydney property
Apartments and strata buildings
For a leak affecting more than one lot, tell us which units and common areas may be involved. Access arrangements, building management and authorisation for different areas need to be clear before work proceeds. Lift bookings, loading areas and equipment routes can affect the practical plan. See our guidance for property managers and strata.
Houses and attached homes
Water can travel beyond the room where it first appears. Let us know about adjoining rooms, floor coverings and any visible changes to walls or ceilings. The assessment considers the source, affected materials and moisture readings before deciding which areas need extraction, drying or further investigation.
Shops, offices and other occupied premises
Tell us about customer access, staff areas, operating hours and equipment or stock that may be affected. These details help us discuss work areas, access restrictions and communication with your site contact. Learn about commercial water damage restoration.
From assessment to drying checks
- Assess the damage. Establish what is known about the source and affected areas, then use moisture checks to guide the proposed work.
- Extract water where appropriate. The approach depends on contamination, access and the condition of the materials. Wet carpet, underlay and hard flooring may need different treatment.
- Set up and monitor drying. Equipment placement and follow-up readings guide adjustments. Drying time varies with the materials, amount of water and site conditions.
- Document findings and next steps. Explain the restoration work and any materials or areas that require further attention.

Keep clear of unsafe areas
Do not enter water-affected areas where electrical, structural or contamination hazards may be present. Keep people and pets away from contaminated water. Take photos only from a safe position. Our water damage first-actions guide explains what information to gather and when to seek help.
Insurance documentation and separate repairs
Reztor provides restoration findings and supporting documentation. Your insurer determines policy coverage and claim outcomes; we do not guarantee acceptance. Tell us if a claim has been lodged and who is authorised to approve work. See working with your insurer.
Fixing the source of a leak and carrying out electrical, plumbing or building repairs may require separately arranged qualified trades. We keep those tasks distinct from Reztor’s restoration work.
