HOW TO GET RID OF WATER STAIN ON CARPET

There are a few ways to try to get rid of the water stain. However, make sure you check with your carpet cleaning service before attempting any of these methods.

White Vinegar

One way to remove the water stains from the carpet is by using white vinegar. The vinegar will cut through the carpet fibres and break down the stain. Pour white vinegar onto a cloth and rub it into the water stain. Then, rinse with fresh water and wipe up with a clean cloth, continuing until all of the liquid is removed.

Be sure to check with your carpet cleaning service first before using any methods to clean your rugs or carpeting because some methods may hurt or damage the threads in your rugs and carpets.

Baking Soda

Another way to tackle this pesky stain is by using baking soda. The baking soda will neutralise the acid in the stain. Pour baking soda into a bowl and sprinkle it over the water stain. Then, rub it into the carpet fibres using a brush or your hands. Continue to use more baking soda as you go, as needed. Then, rinse with soap and water and let dry.

Warm Water

A third way to remove the stains from the carpet is by using warm water with a small amount of dish soap or bleach. First, mix the water with a few drops of dish soap, then spritz the mixture onto your carpet. Continue to break up the stain with diluted warm water and dish soap for a couple of minutes until the stain is gone.

Shampoo

Lastly, you can use a shampoo or detergent to remove the stains from your rugs and carpets. First, add a little detergent into vinegar, then mix it with some warm water before using it on your stain. Then, continue rubbing the detergent into your carpet until the stain is gone.

Remember to check with your carpet cleaning service before using any of these methods to clean your rugs or carpet. Some methods can damage or fade the colours of your rugs and carpets.
